How the engagement unfolded
Context
A few months ago, I was approached by a large European private school (of ~1,000 students) after their Nextcloud deployment became unstable following an unexpected staff departure.
Permissions were broken, Nextcloud was several releases out of date, and sharing functionality in Nextcloud wasn't working.
Stabilization and upgrade
After taking on the request, I was quickly able to resolve the issues preventing Nextcloud from being able to update to the latest release. I subsequently managed the Nextcloud upgrade process. Once the newest release was installed, further complications arose affecting the look of the dashboard interface.
After troubleshooting, I was able to identify the issue and help provide guidance to any potentially affected users.
Sharing restored
I then tackled the sharing issues. I was quickly able to resolve the rest of the school's issues in less than 48 hours, restoring their Nextcloud environment to a functional capacity.
